Synopsis
The Master in Occupational Therapy (Developmental Disability) is designed to enable occupational therapist to gain knowledge and develop skills in pediatric area / children with developmental disabilities such as autism, down syndrome, developmental delay etc. Various updated assessment methods and intervention techniques will be explored, in addition to exploring conceptual framework and theoretical models and contemporary issues that occur in pediatric setting. Synopsis
Master of Science (Physiology) is a 2-year research program which purpose is to provide student with a strong research-oriented background in areas of physiology. These areas include brain research, neurobehavioral study of animals, neuronal plasticity, natural product, nutritional deficiency, embryology, phytomedicine, degenerative diseases, free radical-antioxidant interaction in biological system, cardiovascular research, obesity, exercise physiology, reproductive physiology and radiation bioeffects. Some research is done in collaborations with other departments in Faculty of Health Sciences or faculties (e.g. Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Applied Sciences and Faculty of Pharmacy). Research undertaken for this degree contains an element of originality and it is important that the work be scientifically valid, carefully analyzed, and well presented. Students with a bachelor degree in any health-related disciplines or sciences and are committed in doing research are encouraged to apply. Synopsis
The overall aim of the Master of Science (Health Promotion & Education) is for students to gain advanced skills, principles and knowledge in health promotion and education whilst also developing a critical and multidisciplinary approach to the complexities of public health and health promotion challenges and possibilities. This course provides student the opportunity to conduct an empirical research project in a contemporary issue associated with public health and health promotion. These include policy environments, physical environments, social environments and economic environments.
The minimum requirements are successful completion of an undergraduate degree in the field of public health, health psychology, health communication, etc. or equivalent from an approved university. International students must also meet the postgraduate English language requirements. Applicants must provide a written proposal outlining the work to be done to accomplish the research. Involvement in professional activities related to health promotion and/or health industry experience would be advantageous.
